The ESG Institute Expands to West Africa: Opens Ghana Office and Appoints Eric Appiah as Country Head

Accra, Ghana – 28th March 2025 – The ESG Institute is proud to announce the opening of our new office in Ghana, reinforcing our commitment to driving sustainable development across Africa. This move follows the incorporation of Appiah Information Technology Systems (AITS) (aitsapp.com) into our global network of ESG partners.

The new office will be led by Eric Appiah, who has been appointed Country Head for Ghana. Eric is an award-winning technology and sustainability expert, known for bridging the gap between digital transformation and environmental responsibility. He was recently recognized as Tech Personality of the Year in Ghana for his contributions to IT innovation and his role in advancing sustainable tech solutions.

Eric’s background includes an MSc in Environmental Sustainability and Management and a BSc in Computer Science, complemented by ongoing postgraduate studies in Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics. He holds certifications from institutions such as Harvard Business School and the University of London, and has led sustainability-focused IT strategies at organizations like Global Volunteers Corps and AITS.

A frequent speaker on ESG and technology, Eric has delivered workshops on AI for Business GrowthCybersecurity, and Green IT at regional and international conferences—including engagements with the US Embassy in GhanaAfrica Digital Skills Conference, and CXO Portals UK.
